	Transitions: Your Guide to the First Year Transitions is a session presented by our office during New Student Orientation, specifically aimed at helping parents and family members throughout their student's first year at the University of Arkansas. In this presentation, you will learn about key resources, events and opportunities to get involved.

	Parent & Family Guide This guide offers many University of Arkansas resources to help ease the transition for both you and your student. Inside you will find an overview of Parent & Family Programs, learn about UofA traditions, and find information about academics and student life.
	FERPA The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) can be confusing for parents and students alike. We encourage you to talk to your student about both your expectations and theirs during their time on campus.  Students have the option to give parents access to UAConnect via the Parent Center, which allows you to manage finances and access your student's academic information.
