Family-Focused Weekend 2020

Due to COVID-19 and the need to keep our campus safe for students, faculty, and staff, Family Weekend 2020 has been canceled.
Although Family Weekend was not in person this year, we hope you will still take this opportunity to spend time together. The events and activities listed below can be done at any time. We encourage you to make plans with your family to participate in these virtual events together!

Discover one of NWA’s best spots and immerse yourself in American art and architecture through 360 degree tours of Crystal Bridges museum and the various art exhibits on display now.
Virtually walk your way across the University of Arkansas’s beautiful campus.
Looking for a taste of the natural beauty located throughout NWA? Check out the virtual tours of Crystal Bridges trails featuring local wildlife as well as the many art installations located throughout the various trails.
Want to support local artists in NWA? Attend Art on the Bricks Virtual Art Walk! In conjunction with National Hispanic Heritage Month, “Celebrate Diversity” is the theme for the September and October Art on the Bricks Virtual Art Walk, September 15 to October 15, 2020.
Settle in for a family movie night whether you’re together or apart, enjoy some quality time with a movie together.
Catch showings of The Laramie Project and Vanities presenting by the U of A Theatre Department. All events are completely virtual and free so don’t miss out on the talens of the U of A community.
Enjoy the magic of live theatre at the Walton Arts Center from home with their new Virtual Stage option. Check out the website for shows that are being brought right to you.
Test your U of A knowledge and find out who knows the most about being a Razorback with Family Jeopardy
Nothing brings people together like food! Explore recipes that may become your new family favorite. Look through the various recipes submitted by other U of A families, choose one together and enjoy a night cooking and eating together.

Attend the Farmers Market with your Student
Planning on making one of the family favorite recipes above but your student is still in Fayetteville? Have them FaceTime you into a virtual tour of the Fayetteville Farmers Market, a community favorite. Shop together and then enjoy cooking together later. Maybe even surprise your student with a few things to pick up by ordering online for them.
Make a difference as a family by participating in one of the many ways you can volunteer during your time at home. Donate to the Jane B. Gearhart Full Circle Food Pantry on campus or check out the many links provided that can provide you with volunteer opportunities across the nation. Let’s show the true Razorback spirit!
