Family Weekend Early Check-In

12:00 pm – 5:00 pm          Arkansas Union International Connections Lounge (flag room)

All registered Family Weekend participants must check-in to pick up their Family Weekend packages, schedule of events, memorabilia, and wristbands. Students can pick up their families’ packages with a UofA Student ID.

University Recreation + Wellness BOGO Guest Passes

All Day           UREC Facilities, Open Hours (varies by location)

University Recreation + Wellness is offering a BOGO [buy one, get one] for sponsored and self-sponsored guest passes for Family Weekend on 10/17, 10/18, & 10/19. If anyone comes in to purchase a guest pass any of the three days, and mentions the BOGO offer, then we can redeem a free guest pass to a second person that is with the sponsoring UREC member or another person with a self-sponsoring guest. 

Sponsored guest pass = 1st pass is $10.00; 2nd pass is FREE 

Self-sponsored guest pass – 1st pass is $15.00; 2nd pass is FREE

We’ll be tabling with the Parent and Family Association during Family Weekend Check-in on Friday, October 17, 2025, from 12–6 PM in the Arkansas Union’s International Connections Lounge. Office of Study Abroad Open House

Families are invited to stop by the Office of Study Abroad during our Open House hours! This is a wonderful chance to visit our space, chat with our friendly professionals, and learn all about the exciting study abroad opportunities available at the University of Arkansas. Whether you’re curious about semester-long adventures, short-term programs, or just want to explore what’s possible, we’d love to meet you and share how students can make the world their classroom.

Dr. Renee Threlfall and Dr. Scott Lafontaine will provide an educational tasting of beer, juice and wine to showcase the brewing and wine production research, teaching and extension programs at the University of Arkansas System. This event is FREE, but registration is required! There will be a limited number of seats available, and registration will close once all spots are filled. 
*must be 21 to partake in beer and wine tasting, under 21 can participate in juice tasting

 

First-Gen Family Welcome Reception (RSVP Required)

Kickoff Family Weekend with an evening dedicated to celebrating first-generation students and their families! Enjoy refreshments and have a chance to connect with fellow students, families, and campus community members. We kindly ask that students register for themselves and their family members by Friday, October 10.
*First-generation student status is defined as being the first person in your family to attend a 4 year institution

 

Parent & Family Association Cardinal Member Reception (RSVP Required)

6:00 pm – 8:00 pm          School of Law

Mingle with other Parent & Family Association Cardinal Members from across the nation, meet Division of Student Affairs staff and administrators, and enjoy hors d’oeuvres and drinks. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to bid on a variety of items at the Family Weekend Silent Auction to benefit PFA Book Scholarships. Auction winners will be notified by phone and can pick up their items on Friday evening or Saturday from 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm in Arkansas Union International Connections Lounge.

University Libraries Open House

12:00 pm - 4:00 pm         Mullins Library (Level 2)

Take a break from the crowd and check out what’s new in Mullins Library at our Open House from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 18! Stop by for snacks, button-making, coloring, reminiscing with Razorback yearbooks, and exploring our new spaces just steps from the tailgate. Mullins Library is more than a place to study—it’s for meeting up with friends, finding a quiet spot, getting help with research, or just taking a break between classes. Take a peek at our brand-new cutting-edge tech on Level 2, plus our new exhibit gallery on Level 1 that showcases the University Archives and Division of Special Collections. Bring your curiosity and your team spirit — we hope to see you there!

 

Public Game Day Shuttles Begin Running

Family Weekend Tailgate Party

Always the favorite event, the Family Weekend Tailgate Party is filled with music, food, and fun. Get your family picture taken, grab food before the game starts, and get to know other families!

Lil' Hog Pen

At the Tailgate Party, younger Family Weekend attendees are encouraged to stop by the Lil' Hog Pen! We will have a special Razorback themed coloring book, temporary razorback tattoos, and yard games for the whole family.

Razorback Marching Band Pre-Game Show

Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium

Experience the best in sight and sound with the Razorback Marching Band as they take the field in Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium for the pre-game show. At the conclusion of the show, the band forms an “A” for the football players to run through before the game.
